GABBARD “COLDPLAYED” THE DEEP STATE…TIME FOR TRUMP’S “BONDI GIRL” TO DO HER JOB – August 21, 2025
Last month during a Coldplay concert, a “Kiss Cam” landed on a couple who tried (but failed miserably) to duck out of the spotlight. Within hours, the clip went viral. Why? Because internet sleuths went to work and found out the couple in the frame were married to OTHER people.
Once AI software company Astronomer confirmed that its CEO and its Chief People Officer were the couple in the video, both of them “did the right thing” and resigned their positions out of embarrassment before that weekend was over. Americans cheered from coast to coast because people caught doing something wrong and immoral are SUPPOSED to suffer consequences. Justice was served and, more importantly, it was served QUICKLY.
During that same week, President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard started declassifying documents revealing what many of us suspected all along…that Deep State Demonrats plotted to undermine Trump’s first administration by creating the false narrative that Russia “hacked” our election to make sure that Hillary Clinton would lose. What was truly surprising was: 1) that these documents still existed, and 2) that these efforts were led by none other than President Obama himself.
However, despite the overwhelming evidence Gabbard uncovered and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi ordering a grand jury investigation into those findings, we have not seen ANY perp walks or orange jumpsuits yet. This will NOT sit well with the American public who gave President Trump another chance to “drain the swamp” and who saw justice served in the “Kiss Cam” incident. Why not?
Because what Adam Smith said in his 1759 book, “The Theory of Moral Sentiments” is absolutely TRUE: “Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.”
While Smith discussed the importance of balancing compassion with justice to protect the innocent from harm, he also knew that if the guilty are NOT held accountable for their actions, the burden and harm shifts to the innocent. According to Smith, true justice requires FIRM punishment for the guilty to ensure the safety and rights of the innocent are preserved. It is the principal idea on which the American judicial system is based.
The time has come for the Attorney General to do her job.
At a press conference earlier this week, President Trump announced that Bondi is the one “at the plate.” Tulsi has given Pam a hanging curve ball; if she fails to knock THIS one out of the park (as she failed to do with the Epstein files), then we need to raise our collective voices once again and say, “No, Mrs. Bondi, we expect you to RESIGN!”
100 DAYS OF WINNING…AND WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM IT – May 1, 2025
As I reflect on the First 100 Days of the administration of “Trump 2.0,” I keep coming back to THIS thought…
Boy, what a difference serving NON-CONSECUTIVE terms makes!
If the 2020 election was NOT stolen from Donald J. Trump (and I still maintain that it WAS), his second term would have looked much like his first term, which objectively ended in disaster on March 16, 2020, when he basically surrendered his Presidency to the “experts in the room.” By the time he realized that was a critical mistake, it was too late for his initial re-election bid.
Sure, Trump DID receive more votes than any previous incumbent President in American history. But alas, the rules were altered so that the Demoncrats could enlist the U.S. Postal Service to aid and abet them in streamlining their already well-oiled ballot-harvesting operations.
But while many THOUGHT that being saddled with President-ish Biden was a curse, it actually turned out to be the Lord working in mysterious ways. Without those four years to reflect on the errors of his first-term ways, Trump might have NEVER learned from the BIGGEST political mistake you could EVER make…
He AGREED with the PRIMARY ARGUMENTS made by his opponents.
Fast forward to January 20, 2025, a date which will live in RIGHTEOUSNESS, when the Demoncratic Party of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the overwhelming force of President Trump’s pen. This D-Day- style assault made it obvious that this was deliberately planned many months or even years before its execution.
This blitzkrieg of executive orders and memoranda has left our opponents so confused that not only do they NOT know which counterattack to make first, it has accomplished something no Republican since Newt Gingrich was able to do when he became the Speaker of the House in 1994…
Trump is getting THEM to agree with OUR primary arguments!
Trump is showing us HOW to win…now it’s up to us in Connecticut to learn and APPLY those lessons.
Thankfully, we do have a handful of representatives who are starting to lay the foundation for future victories by introducing legislation that no longer agrees with the primary arguments made by our opponents. The BEST example of this was HB 5352 which would prohibit biological males from competing against females and from using female-only locker rooms and facilities, something that even most rank-and-file Democrats agree is morally wrong.
IF the Connecticut Republican Party wants to recapture its first statewide office since 2010, its first Congressional seat since 2008, its first State Senate majority since 1996, its first U.S. Senator since 1988, and its first General Assembly majority since 1986, it must do TWO THINGS:
- Make the Demoncrats DEFEND THE INDEFENSIBLE, like they are doing nationally with MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and
- Find enough MESSENGERS who have the CREDIBILITY to deliver the messages on which a majority of voters agree with US.
We must find Republican candidates with a track record of cutting costs, making safer environments, protecting our right to speak and worship freely, and putting America first. THAT is the path to victory, and we need to get started NOW…because November will be here sooner than you think!
HOW WE CAN FIX CONNECTICUT – April 5, 2025
I was relieved when President Donald J. Trump won a second non-consecutive term and then surprised by Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s ability to herd enough Republican cats to vote in favor of confirming virtually ALL of the President’s nominees to their respective Cabinet posts. But the recent special elections in Florida and Wisconsin continue to show evidence that while the American people are still with US on the key issues, they still only trust TRUMP and NOT OUR PARTY to deliver on them.
That’s why Wisconsin voters elected a far-left judge for their state’s Supreme Court and re-elected the Democrat candidate to be their state’s top education official. But when the voters COULD bifurcate their vote to support a key Republican stance (which in this case was enshrining the requirement of showing a photo ID to vote into their state’s constitution) THEY DID, and in VERY convincing fashion.
In fact, the ONLY times when voters WERE willing to support down-ballot Republicans in recent elections was when there was a candidate at the top of the ticket who demonstrated a willingness to actually GOVERN! The only states in the 2022 midterm election that actually HAD a “Red Wave” were Florida and Iowa. What did those two states have in common? They had STRONG GOVERNORS in Ron DeSantis and Kim Reynolds who actually KEPT their promises.
In other words, the Republican “brand” was NOT FIXED by the last Presidential election. The ONLY candidates with an “R” after their name that ARE winning are the ones who are actually running ON the brand which we have historically been known FOR…and that is COMPETENCE!
The ONLY way that we can stop our state from continuing to suffer under the weight of Democrat rule is to choose candidates who want to win not just so that they can BE somebody but so that they can DO SOMETHING, especially the right things that a supermajority of voters WANT us to do, such as:
- Curbing inflation,
- Securing our borders,
- Supporting local police,
- Reducing violent crime,
- Strengthening our military,
- Honoring the American flag,
- Protecting the 1st Amendment,
- Recognizing China as our enemy,
- Stopping the opioid epidemic, and
- Safeguarding our election process.
The bottom line is this: If we want to reboot our “brand,” we MUST stop electing Republicans who continue to drive the car with one foot on the gas pedal and the other on the brakes (like current Speaker of the House Mike Johnson) and instead choose people who have a track record of SUCCESS in handling the issues listed above.
That is why we at CTRA must continue to find candidates that are willing to stand on ALL of the principles that our party CLAIMS it believes in and encourage our current crop of elected and appointed Republicans to do the same…because when we STRESS something, we WILL get more of it; if we DON’T, then we WON’T!
THANK YOU FOR ELECTING ME AS YOUR “PALADIN” – March 6, 2025
Let me begin by saying “Thank You” to both Anne Manusky who did a fabulous job as our Immediate Past President and to all of you for continuing to place your trust in me by electing me as CTRA’s third President. I am also grateful that she will continue the role she has played in helping us win the battles we are fighting in our State Capitol.
When Mark Anderson, now a State Rep, first approached me in 2017 to start a Connecticut chapter for the NFRA, he asked me if I wanted to serve as the first President. I deferred to him because he already had experience in how a state chapter should be run and I’m glad I did. His wisdom laid the foundation which Anne Manusky built upon during her tenure as CTRA President. I am excited to follow in their footsteps and I pray to live up to the standards they set.
When I first got involved politically on Election Day in 2004, I naively thought that this simply was a POLITICAL war between two parties with different viewpoints on how to run a country. But while working for the Herman Cain campaign in 2012, I first became aware of what we now call the “Deep State” and learned that this is a SPIRITUAL war between good and evil, between truth and lies, and it continues to rage on with ever increasing intensity.
The world that Ned Lamont, Senators Murphy and Blumenthal, and our five Congressional representatives live in is VASTLY DIFFERENT from the one that the average American does. Even 60% of registered Democrats do not believe that biological men should compete against women or share their locker rooms. But ALL 45 Democratic Senators present that day voted to filibuster the bill that would have protected those spaces for ACTUAL women and prevented it from passing.
Why didn’t the Democrats take an EASY win? Because THEY DON’T WANT TO. They HATE you. Thankfully, most Americans are waking up to the fact that the actions taken by Democrats do NOT match their flowery DEI rhetoric.
Look at the story of Jennica Pounds, AKA “Data Republican.” She is living proof that DEI is NOT about “inclusion” or “equity” but rather ideological CONFORMITY. Jennica is a deaf female software engineer who does SAVANT-level work, but because her stance doesn’t align with the Demoncrats (which is how I will refer to that party going forward), she was doxxed and forced out at her job which completely uprooted her and her family’s life.
There is no coexisting with people who deny BASIC REALITY (aka truths that are SELF-EVIDENT). There is also no propitiating with a political party whose paradigm when dealing with Republicans is, “If YOU don’t slit your OWN throat, WE will do it FOR you.”
This is why our elected leaders must stop genuflecting to people who will NEVER vote for them. How many blue-haired single women with 17 nose rings did George Logan get to vote for him when he came out as a pro-choice Republican? I’m willing to bet that number was ZERO.
Am I saying NOT to vote for anyone that we would consider a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only)? Not in a GENERAL election, because we need every single person with an R after their name to win so we can finally retake control of every level of government and stop the bleeding. But we must find as many people as possible to replace those who wither under the pressure of the political winds with people who will stand for what our party CLAIMS it believes in. (BTW, did you ever notice there are no “DINOs” or Demoncrats In Name Only?)
There’s a term that I became reacquainted with this past week that embodies exactly the type of people that our organization is looking for. That term is “paladin.”
My mission as President of the CT Republican Assembly is to find as many paladins as possible. Not only do I plan on fulfilling Anne’s mission of planting chapters in every county (four down, four to go) but I am also making it my mission to have at least one CTRA member living in each of our 169 municipalities by the time I leave this office.
So if you believe in inalienable rights, the guiding force of moral law, self-government, parental rights in education, the free enterprise system, the traditional American family, the sanctity of life, a strong national defense, an uninfringed Second Amendment, growth-oriented tax policies, victims having more rights than criminals, national sovereignty, and a smaller decentralized government, then I invite you to join us as we work to restore the republic that our Founding Fathers gave us and Benjamin Franklin famously implored us to keep.
